Know before you buy
Zooz pages disagree on operating temperature: the spec page says 40 to 90°F, one FAQ answer says 40 to 104°F; we print the narrower figure. It is rated for rooms, not below 40°F, so use it to catch a room cooling toward freezing, not inside a space that is already freezing. Warranty is 1 year standard, 5 years if registered within 30 days.

Read first
- Freeze sensor recipeA cold space where pipes run, a crawlspace, a garage, an attic or a cabinet on an outside wall, falling toward freezing.
- Humidity sensor recipeA basement or a bathroom that stays damp long enough for mold, and the slow leak that keeps a room damp.
- Sensor watchdog recipeThe failure nobody notices: a sensor whose battery died or that dropped off the network, so it can no longer warn you.
